party, to help remake America's two party duopoly. Read here about how citizen
voters can create change in the 2004 presidential election, by rejecting
both Democrat and Republican candidates. Citizen voters in the 2004 presidential election is just one of the pages provided online by the NoneOfTheAbove Party. The purpose of the NoneOfTheAbove party is to gather enough federal election votes to send a clear message to the Democrats and Republicans that they must change. They must change in a way that will place the voters -- in general -- above the special interest groups and political contributors. You have reached The website of the NoneOfTheAbove party, which asks you to join with us to stop the political misdeeds of the Democrats and Republicans, who place allegiance to special interest groups and political donors above the more basic needs of the citizens of America. | Richard Amann agrees with the
NoneOfTheAbove
Party position that
Democrats
and
Republicans need to prove they will represent the people
of America
first, before considering the special interest groups who pay
them.
The key word in this is "prove." It is the responsibility of the parties
and politicians to
prove they can change. They must prove this to those
disaffected voters,
who often vote for the lesser of two evils, and those who
have -- before
now -- ignored voting because the Democrats and Republicans
are too
much alike. Until each and every one of the NoneOfTheAbove voters
is
satisfied, NoneOfTheAbove will continue to run candidates. |
| My name is Richard Amann. As soon as I was old enough to vote, I did.
But, as the years
rolled by I became more and more disillusioned about the two parties. Both
promised a lot
but delivered little. After retiring I went back to college and studied
political science. I came
to realize that the system of politics -- in any country -- contains the seeds
for corruption and
-- then -- revolution. I came to understand how the checks and balances of
America's
constitutional government helped us avoid revolution. But, I became convinced that
the two party
system had regularly gotten out of control of the people, and there could have
been revolutions.
Time after time, however, third parties arose. Sometimes they replaced an
existing party, but much more often all they did was to get enough votes to scare the two major parties into reforming. As a result I have, over the past few years, started voting for -- and even actively supporting third party candidates from third parties that most closely represented my needs. My reason for starting and running for the NoneOfTheAbove party came about because I bumped into two realities.
1. Many people were afraid to vote for third parties, sometimes
because they knew 2. Many voters were apathetic and never even registered to vote, because they were sure they could not affect elections.
The NoneOfTheAbove party is made of people who volunteered to run (perhaps
because
they could make money, legitimately) and agree on only one thing --
It is the responsibility
of the parties and politicians to prove they can change to the
satisfaction of
NoneOfTheAbove
voters. Other than that, there is no
NoneOfTheAbove
agenda or organization,
other than a loosely organized group of people with Internet access. There
is nothing to fear. For those who have been apathetic, because neither of the parties gave you any reason to vote, now you have a reason to register to vote. Now you can exercise your constitutional right to vote, and vote giving the messages the politicians never got when you sat at home. Just a few voters like you can change the two party system in America. Right now the two parties are quite willing to have you sit at home and not upset the narrow difference between Republicans and Democrats. Republican and Democrat politicians would rather you remain apathetic than go to the polls. When you vote for NoneOfTheAbove you make it clear that it was the politicians that made you apathetic in the first place, but now they are going to need to convince you they are capable of changing they way you want them to change. |
If you are interested in finding what politicians who want your vote (or want
you to remain
apathetic) think about why
citizens need to vote, but won't as long as they only get a choice
between the candidates of the current two party Republican and Democrat monopoly

Thanks for visiting this NoneOfTheAbove party pages concerning Richard Amann running for United States of America's president. NoneOfTheAbove's page about why citizens need to vote, but many never will as long as they only get a choice between the candidates of the current two party monopoly of Republicans and Democrats addresses this candidacy. You no longer need to vote for a Democrat or a republican or, for that matter, a true third party. If your major wish is to get the Republican and Democratic Parties to clean up their acts and stop sucking up to every special interest group and political donor, vote for a NoneOfTheAbove candidate. Rest assured citizen voter is not going to be involved in the political evil, dishonesty and corruption of the Democrats or the Republicans. Most major political reform in the USA has occurred when enough voters have voted for a third party with a clear message, A vote for any third party candidate, like the NoneOfTheAbove's worthless, useless, decaying old man, Dick Amann is a clear vote, not for Dick Amann, but for the cause of the party which is -- Democrats and/or Republicans must change in perceptible ways to prove they are no longer going to represent third party interests with money. Democrats and Republicans, if they want your vote must prove to you (and me and everyone else voting NoneOfTheAbove, that they will work for citizens, before they work for money donors. Don't let apathy keep you from voting. Don't let misplaced patriotism lead you to vote for the least worse candidate. We hope you learned something in your visit to this citizens need to vote, but many never will as long as they only get a choice between the candidates of the current two party monopoly of Republicans and Democrats page.
